With all of the various events going on to ring in the New Year, I thought it might be nice to just spend a quiet evening at home, safe and sound. What better way to do that than with these fun champagne jello shots. They look fun and festive and I bet they taste even better.
No matter what you are doing this New Years Eve, I hope you are safe and with the ones you love.
So many times I’m asked what I want for my birthday or for Christmas. I try to drop hints all the time when I’m out with my hubby about what is on my gift radar. A lot of times he picks up on that and is able to buy for me with out any input. On the flip side, some times I get gifts that are not on my list. Don’t get me wrong, I’m happy with any gift that someone takes the time to pick out for me, but I wonder why people ask for the list and then do not use it.
That got me thinking…how many of you are in the same boat? Have you made a wish list and then you don’t receive anything from it? Or maybe you are the type that uses the list as a guideline but then decide to buy something else that you think they will like instead?
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Christmas!! While gifts are not the reason for the season, it has become so commercialized. I hope that in all of the rush and hustle and bustle of the holiday, that you are able to settle down and enjoy your friends, family and loved ones.
So, I know that Sara had on a long-sleeved shirt tonight during her performance, so I took some liberties with this corset top, but I really like how it turned out. I love the basic yet stylish look of this outfit. Tuxedo pants, great heels and pops of color with makeup, nail color and even accessories is a sure fired way to look put together and polished. What do you think? I need to be invited to an event soon so I can recreate this look. This definitely has style and sass!
Tonight, I would expect to see lots more of the same. We will see fun, festive, sparkly dresses along with lots of metallics both in clothing and jewelry, stackable bracelets and cocktail rings. We’ll see floor length gowns and we’ll see some fun, shorter party dresses too. Either way, it will be a fun time to tune in and check it all out.
Who do you love to see all dressed up at the awards show? I hear Faith Hill is debuting a new single and that it’s been since, I think, 2006 since she has appeared at the CMA’s. I’m not a huge fan of hers, but I love to see the veterans come out to things like this. George Strait, Reba, Sara Evans, Faith Hill and Kenny Chesney certainly helped to shape the way we view country music today.
One my earlier posts showed a LBD and some fun accessories to go along with it. Imagine my excitement to see this beauty on Pinterest. This fun dress has a bit of a fuller skirt to it than the sheath style dress my creation had, but the necklace is very similar. This is as wonderful way to take a neutral shaded, party dress and add some subtle pizzazz to wake it up.
The necklace that I would pair with this dress would be Showstopper. Of course, the dress would need to be in another shade other than silver in order to really make this necklace pop. I would LOVE to see this color palette reversed so that the dress was this deep, rich plum and the jewelry sparkled like icing on the cake.
Could you see yourself in this fun dress? Is this more of a party dress or a dress you’d wear to an event, such as a wedding? Let me know!!
